Flipkart Expands Supply Chain Infrastructure Ahead of Big Billion Days

Alongside large FCs, Flipkart is scaling its quick commerce backbone with nearly 400 new micro-fulfilment centres and dark stores across 19 cities, fueling Flipkart Minute.

Flipkart, gearing up for The Big Billion Days, has expanded its supply chain with new fulfilment centres (FCs), last-mile hubs, and micro-fulfilment stores across India. This year’s expansion covers 35 lakh sq. ft. and 21,000+ pin codes, taking Flipkart’s nationwide FC count past 100.

Key additions include a 2 lakh sq. ft. Varanasi FC (3,600 jobs), a 4.5 lakh sq. ft. Patna FC serving 1,000+ pin codes (1,100 jobs), and a state-of-the-art 140-acre Regional Distribution Centre in Manesar, creating 10,000+ jobs and handling goods from parcels to furniture. Flipkart also launched its first grocery FC in Agartala (35,000 sq. ft., 5,000 daily orders). Other new facilities are live in Ranchi, Ghaziabad, Agra, Guwahati, Singur, and Saidham.

Alongside large FCs, Flipkart is scaling its quick commerce backbone with nearly 400 new micro-fulfilment centres and dark stores across 19 cities, fueling Flipkart Minutes, which has doubled order volumes every 45 days.

Hemant Badri, SVP, Flipkart Group, said the hybrid network strengthens delivery reliability across metros, Tier-II and Tier-III cities, while creating 2.2 lakh+ seasonal jobs with focus on women, PwD, and first-time workforce hiring.

Meanwhile, Ekart has launched on-ground health camps under its Suraksha wellness program for 6,000 warehouse associates across 21 facilities, offering screenings for chronic conditions. In 2025, Suraksha has already supported 1.7 lakh associates with 18 lakh+ minutes of doctor consultations.
